There’s something to be said about a historical housewares dating back to 1930 from Chicago. During this time there were a plethora of not only furniture manufactures but craftsmen who went up and beyond in the world of design. These cut glass candlesticks are no exception.

Taking their influence from their original roots in Europe they were crafted not far from downtown, right past the meat packing district as it’s known today. The pair boasts a cast brass lion’s foot design with a decorative repeat border to allow the candle to rest comfortably without damaging a surface from humidity or heat from a burning flame. Very minor wear along the interior, invisible to the eye.

Today, they would be a welcoming addition either on the mantle, dining table or as a beacon calling us home after a day’s work on the windowsill. Each hold a single candle of your choice.
